Jimmy Brimm Obituary

On 3/29/24, in Rathdrum, ID, we bid farewell to Jimmy Lee Brimm, a beloved soul who touched the lives of many. Born on 08/19/1948 in Marysville CA to Howard and Mary Brimm (Hunt), Jimmy's journey was one of love and dedication. Growing up in Camp 1/Feather Falls and attending Las Plumas School, Jimmy's path led him to serve his country as a U.S. Navy Gunners Mate during the Vietnam War. His commitment aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise and U.S.S. Bigelow from 1965-1967 will forever be honored. Jimmy's work as a Heavy Equipment Operator/Logger showcased his strong spirit and unwavering perseverance throughout his life. His adventures took him from Camp 1/Feather Falls and Clipper Mills to becoming a long-time Oroville resident before settling in Idaho in 2021. In a life filled with love, Jimmy found companionship with Dianne for the past 38 years, after spending 14 years married to Carla Stromer (Smith). Together, they created a world centered around family, including sons Dave Brimm (Amanda), Tracey Potts (Heather), Galen Berg (Carrie), Gary Hill (Shannon), daughters Sierra Grider (Lee), Trisha Potts, brother Timothy Brimm (Carolyn), sisters Kathy Bradford and Eileen Jackson. His legacy continues through his 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. An admirer of the mountains, hunting, fishing, and spending treasured moments with loved ones, Jimmy's memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him. As we gather at his graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery on 4/12/24 at 10:00am followed by a gathering at Grande Burger in Oroville, we honor a life well-lived. In our hearts forevermore are his parents Mary and Howard Brimm, brother Randy Brimm, brother-in-law Jim Bradford, brother-in-law Harold "Buddy" Jackson. May Jimmy Lee Brimm rest in eternal peace as his spirit lives on through those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
